Contributions & Charges and Student Personal Items

The Kellerberrin District High School Board has endorsed the Schedule of Voluntary Contributions and Charges for 2026.
This schedule is divided into sections to help you estimate any costs that may arise throughout the 2026 school year.

Voluntary Contributions

Under the School Education Act, the maximum voluntary contribution is:

  • $60 per child for Kindergarten to Year 6

  • $235 per student for Years 7–10

These contributions help supplement school expenditure across various curriculum areas. While contributions are voluntary, your support directly enhances the quality of our teaching and learning programs.
This amount is shown on the invoice overleaf and is payable as soon as possible.

Charges for Extra-Cost Optional Components

A breakdown of estimated charges for excursions, incursions, activities, and extra-curricular resources planned for 2026 is included on the reverse of the invoice.

  • Students will only be charged for activities they participate in.

  • The amounts listed are the estimated maximums for each activity.

  • Please do not pay these charges now – families will be asked to pay for each activity as it arises during the year.

Student Personal Items

Costs for personal items vary depending on individual student needs.
Each student’s requirements are outlined in their year-level booklist.

  • Parents are free to purchase these items from a retailer of their choice.

  • All items must be supplied by the start of the 2026 school year.

Secondary Assistance Scheme

The Secondary Assistance Scheme (SAS) is to assist low-income families with secondary schooling costs for students in Years 7 to 12.

It is made up of 2 allowances:

  • the Education Program allowance (EPA) paid directly to the school
  • the clothing allowance paid to the applicant or the school.
